This Privacy Policy explains how Zarabi Connect(“Zarabi Connect”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information about the retailers, brands, and manufacturers who use our platform (the “Service”). It applies to our website and all related services.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details — your first and last name, email address, password, and the role you join as (buyer, brand, or manufacturer).
• Profile information — the details you enter during onboarding and profile editing, such as company name, location, positioning, categories, price points, minimum order quantities, lead times, certifications, references, and similar trade information.
• Uploaded files — documents and imagery you upload (for example trade licences, certifications, lookbooks, and product photos).
• Communications — messages you include with introduction requests, and any correspondence you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — basic information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed and features used, to help us operate and improve the platform.
• Device and log data — standard technical information such as browser type and access times, collected by our hosting and authentication providers.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To verify your email address and, where applicable, your business and references.
• To power discovery and matching — showing your profile to relevant members and ranking potential partners for you based on the criteria you provide.
• To facilitate introduction requests between members.
• To send you transactional emails (for example verification and notification emails).
• To maintain the security and integrity of the network and prevent misuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How your information is shared

Zarabi Connect is a curated network, so some of your information is shared with other members by design:

• Published profiles are visible to other signed-in members for discovery and matching. You control what your profile contains and when you publish it.
• Introduction requestsshare a snapshot of the requesting member's details with the recipient. When a recipient accepts, both parties' contact details are exchanged so they can continue by email.
• Uploaded documents remain private — accessible only to you and our verification team, through time-limited secure links. They are never shown publicly.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the service providers below only as needed to run the platform.

Service providers

We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your account and profile data is stored here.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Resend — delivery of transactional email.

Each provider processes your information only to provide their service to us, under their own security and privacy commitments.

Data security

Access to your records is protected by database-level access rules, so a member can only read or change their own information. Uploaded files are stored privately and served through expiring signed links. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most of your information directly from your account page, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.

International transfers

Our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
